$800,000 Jury Verdict Against Clarion Hospital for Failure to Diagnose Spinal Epidural Hematoma
We filed a case on behalf of our client who fell at home, was taken to Clarion Hospital, and subsequently was paralzyed below her waist (paraplegia). During the case, we discovered that our client’s fall had caused a spinal epidural hematoma (bleeding in her spinal cord) which required immediate surgery. We also discovered that while in the Hospital our client began to lose feeling and movement in her legs, and the Hospital staff was aware but failed to take action. Prior to trial, Clarion Hospital made no offer to settle the case. We obtained a jury verdict of $800,000 against Clarion Hospital.
