Confidential Verdict Against Forbes Hospital For Dirty Colonoscopes

On July 19, 2012, Berger Lagnese & Paul, LLC obtained a jury verdict against Forbes Hospital in Pittsburgh for medical malpractice.  The jury found that Forbes Hospital was negligent for failing to properly clean colonoscopes during a 5 month period in 2004 and 2005.  Berger Lagnese & Paul, LLC, a law firm based in Pittsburgh, represents 221 individuals who underwent colonoscopies with improperly cleaned colonoscopes and then had to undergo testing to be sure they had not contracted HIV or Hepatitis.  Individual trials will be held beginning in September to determine the amount damages each individual will receive.
