Confidential Settlement For Failure To Diagnose Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) in ER
We filed and settled a case against a hospital and its emergency room doctor for failing to diagnose and treat a 44-year-old man who went to the hospital’s emergency room with classic symptoms of a deep vein thrombosis in his leg. We argued that the failure of the hospital and its emergency room doctors to treat our client caused his death a week later from a pulmonary embolus that came from his leg.
