Pharmacy Gives Wrong Amount of Medicine to Patient

Our client was seen by her pediatrician for an ear infection.  The pediatrician ordered Augmentin, an antibiotic, to be given 3.5 milliliters by mouth twice daily for 10 days.  The pharmacy made an error when filling the prescription.  They filled the prescription but wrote on the bottle that it was that it was to be taken 3.5 teaspoonfuls twice daily for 10 days.  As a result, our client required medical treatment for injuries caused by taking the wrong amount of the medicine.  We pursued the case and recovered an excellent settlement for our client.
